About Islamic Network

Islamic Network began in 2013 with AlAdhan.com, as a humble way to provide the Adhan five times a day. By the grace of Allah Most High, more services have been added over the years, and the network now serves well over a billion HTTP requests every month.

Everything we build is offered freely, and our source is open. Our aim is simple: that these services be pleasing to our Lord, and that they remind ourselves and others of what is real in a technology-obsessed age.

What we do

We design, build and run a network of:

  • Applications — like AlAdhan.com and AlQuran.cloud — used by hundreds of thousands of Muslims worldwide.
  • APIs — the same data, available to other developers building Islamic apps.
  • Content sites — small, focused projects on aqida, tasawwuf and the perennial tradition.
  • Infrastructure — a CDN serving 30+ TB of Islamic media every month.
  • A Community — a place to ask, share and support.

How we operate

Islamic Network is operated by Mamluk, the company that maintains the codebase and runs day-to-day operations.

Our infrastructure is hosted at Bahriya, providing the compute, storage and bandwidth that keep the services online.

Our Community runs on software generously donated by Floxum.

Open source

All the code is available as open-source repositories at 1x.ax. Contributions, issues and ideas are warmly welcomed.
